Love her hair, it is exactly how I imagined it. Liked how Harry attempted to make Hermione smile - sweet picture of a sweet moment.

This scene was kind of awkward in the movie (especially since apparently there were Harry/Hermione shippers in the audience that apparently never read the second half of DH). I had forgotten about it!

honestly, I didn't think it was that awkward, but maybe that's because I have read the second half of DH (more than once even =D)

Maybe it's because Daniel Radcliffe is so teeny-tiny XD

This was a pretty random scene in the movie but I suppose it was necessary just to illustrate the atmosphere and mood.

ANYWAY, love how you drew them! And yay, Hermione doesn't have straight hair!

I think many people misinterpreted this scene, it was just a friend trying to cheer a friend up :/ anywho, this is a really cute drawing :3

I know a few people who thought harry and hermione were going to kiss etc. but they may not have read the books >< no problem :)

Lovely art, however I loathed that scene in the movie.

Kloves is such a hack.

Why did you hate it so much?

Well, it was horribly out-of-character and totally opposite of what actually happened in the books.

In the books Harry and Hermione can hardly even speak with each other after Ron leaves, but here they just put away the Locket and start dancing right after.

Also, in interviews with Emma Watson, David Yates etc it was actually said that the intention of this scene was actually to raise a "what if?" question, so it's not as innocent as some people believe.

So, yeah.. that's why I hate the scene, and Steve Kloves. This certainly wasn't his only misguided attempt at some non-canonical (and more importantly, out-of-character) Harry/Hermione nonsense.

haha, fair enough. I didn't mind it so much, but maybe that's because I interpreted the dance differently. I think Ron had left a while before, and to me it didn't seem so out-of-character for Harry to want to make his friend smile. Also, it would have been hard to write a scene like this in the book, it would have been a little odd.

What were the other attempts? I'm curious :-)

yes that, and the music and the acting and the silliness; I thought it was all well done.
